Different card counting systems

Card counting system is of different types. However, there is one guiding principle which all of them share. You are not expected to cram all the cards on the table but you should assign a specific value to a collection of card and then count according to the system that you have chosen.

Using one of the most favourite card counting, all cards within the range of 2 to 6 are given positive value while those within the range of 10 - A are given negative value. Card in the neighbourhood of 7 to 9 have no value and they therefore do not have any effect on the counting system.

In order to count card using this system, the player has to do simple addition and subtraction depending on the value of each card. The odds are in favour of the players if the card numbers are higher. This implies that cards of lower value have been already dealt.

There are some card counting systems that use higher value such as +2 and -2. Some even use +5 and -5. It is good also for you to know that the card counting system is more complicated than described here.

However, this is not to discourage any person who wants to use this system. The card counting system is not as complex as it is presented in television.

Back counting or Wonging is another card counting system. As the name suggests a player has to stand out and be doing the counting while other players are doing the playing. The player counting will only wager when the player's advantage is high. This method was used first by Stanford Wong and this explains why it is called Wonging.
